Swollen Members-Long Way Down©Battle Axe 2002
I believe that the environment is the defining challenge of this generation, a challenge that brings severe consequences. During the winter of 2008, when this organization was being developed, villages in India were being drowned by rising sea levels, villages in Uganda and China were being relocated because of dams, and villages in Alaska were collapsing because of rising costs of oil. We are not 40-years away from the consequences of global warming, they are happening now.
I’ve traveled all around the world to kayak, ski, climb, bike, surf and basically do anything I can to get outside and explore. Alaska is my home, but I live in many places. I’ve been blessed by my experiences outside. I want to sustain the places I’ve visited and share those experiences with others. Life More Natural, the news we cover here, the connections and conversation we offer, and the charities that we’ve created are my way of trying to address the challenges that we face. I hope that more of you will join the conversation and help us figure out some ways to make a difference. I also hope that you all will continue to get outside and get connected.
