2010 is going to be a good year

December 31, 2009

As a growing network of people who want to make our communities and environment better, LMN is empowering people to do just that. The year ahead is looking good too. Read more

Starting the season off right at Whistler, by KC Deane

December 30, 2009

Hey KC Deane checking in. So the ski season in Tahoe started out a little slow though November, just riding a man mad ice patch at Boreal day after day while the PNW got pounded. I ended up getting a concussion mid-November and figured I would take some time off until after Thanksgiving.

Volunteers needed to help with Christmas Tree Recycling

December 29, 2009

Reno, Nev. – Over 11,000 Christmas trees were recycled last year during Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful’s 18th annual Christmas Tree Recycling campaign. Recycled trees were chipped into mulch, and used year-round in park, river and open space projects to prevent weed growth, soil erosion and promote beautification. This year’s program is underway and lasts until Jan. 18th. In addition to getting the community out to recycle their trees, KTMB is in need of volunteers to help make it happen.

A Life More Natural group will be helping out on Monday January 18th, 1-5pm. Contact us if you’d like to join and be entered in the Action Rewards program.
