Nenana River Wildwater Festival ‘09 schedule

take-outwebDenali Park, Alaska – It’s now just around the corner and we’ve been hearing from boaters from all over Alaska who are planning to make it to Denali. We’ve finally set the schedule and there will be events on both Friday, August 14th and Saturday, August 15th. Boaters will be getting together to paddle sans schedule on Sunday. A weekend of boating, parties and charity with the Alaska river community, what could be better?!

You have to go search for it. To experience the truly wild aspects of this landscape, you have to get out into it and explore it’s roughest areas. But there is something to be said about the reward of wilderness that must be earned to be enjoyed. Read more

Salida, Colorado - The 61st annual FIBArk festival, short for First In Boating On The Arkansas, took place June 18-21 in Salida, Colo. Athletes of all ages and abilities competed in kayaks, canoes, rafts and the infamous hooligan craft (homemade vessels that float but aren’t guaranteed to stay upright). Read more

Using the trailSouth Lake Tahoe, Nevada- Grunts, dripping sweat and sore muscles are all in a day’s work for the volunteers who primp and polish the spectacular Tahoe Rim Trail. The 165-miles of trail that circles Lake Tahoe is made up of tree lined single track and spectacular views. Keeping the TRT maintained for world-class mountain biking and hiking requires lots of dedicated volunteers. Read more
